Kathmandu, July 2 -- The Asian Football Confederation has informed the All Nepal Football Association that Nepal's national and club teams will be eligible for continental competitions if FIFA's suspension is lifted before the deadlines for each tournament.

A June 27 letter by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), made public by ANFA on Tuesday, suggests that Nepal lost the opportunity for the AFC Women's Champions League 2026/27.

But then, Nepal would have missed the tournament even if FIFA had not suspended ANFA. The Martyr's Memorial ANFA Women's League was postponed on the opening day, and there was no winner to represent Nepal in the AFC Women's Champions League's Preliminary Stage unless the AFC showed some flexibility.
