Why GCCs are moving beyond headcount to workforce intelligence
India, Sept. 9 -- India's GCC story is changing. The earlier playbook was relatively straightforward: set up a center, hire talent, and scale operations. As GCCs take on product ownership, technology platforms, risk pprocesses,and other global responsibilities, that approach is becoming less useful.
The discussion is now about what capabilities an enterprise needs, where those capabilities already exist, and how quickly the workforce can be reorganized when business priorities change. That is putting workforce planning closer to the center of GCC strategy. AI is also changing the way companies assess skills, identify gaps, and decide between hiring, reskilling, internal mobility, and external partners.
