India, Sept. 22 -- At SEMICON India 2026, held from September 17 to 19 at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the event on September 17. During the event, he also virtually inaugurated commercial production lines at CDIL Semiconductor in Mohali and Suchi Semicon's outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) facility in Surat. This took the number of operational commercial semiconductor units among the 12 projects approved under Semicon 1.0 to five.
