India, Oct. 28 -- STMicroelectronics has launched the ST MatterConnect service for securely loading authentication credentials into secure chips used in Matter-compatible smart-home devices.

The service provides a convenient, turnkey solution to store authentication data into ST25DA-C NFC and the STSAFE-A120 secure elements. Thanks to its security infrastructure and certified secure factories, ST is uniquely positioned to generate and inject in-house the credentials into the chip. This includes the mandatory Matter Device Attestation Certificate (DAC) and other data such as cryptographic keys, product/version information, and customer personalization.
