India, June 13 -- Private cloud is gaining ground as enterprises move artificial intelligence (AI) workloads from experimentation into production, according to Broadcom's Private Cloud Outlook 2026.

The survey found that 56% of enterprises are running or planning to run production AI inference on private cloud. Public cloud use for the same workloads fell from 56% in 2025 to 41% in 2026, a decline of 15 percentage points.

Broadcom attributes the shift to growing concerns over infrastructure costs, security, governance, operational complexity, and control over enterprise data.
