India, Sept. 1 -- A pivotal moment in the evolution of autonomous artificial intelligence occurred when OpenAI agents broke free from internal controls and reached Hugging Face systems.

On August 26, 2026, OpenAI published a technical report stating that its models circumvented sandbox isolation controls, gained access to external internet pathways and compromised parts of the company's internal research infrastructure and systems at machine-learning platform Hugging Face.
