India, July 15 -- Microsoft is moving Copilot beyond assistance towards agents that can execute work across enterprise systems.

Copilot Cowork allows users to delegate outcomes rather than simply request answers. It can draw on Microsoft 365 information, coordinate workflows and complete tasks across applications. Copilot Studio adds tools for organisations to build specialised agents and orchestrate multiple agents around complex processes.

As the number of agents grows, Microsoft is also addressing what could become an agent-sprawl problem. Agent 365 is positioned as a central control plane through which IT and security teams can discover, observe, govern and secure agents.
