Meta plans USD 13 billion investment in El Paso data centre
India, May 6 -- Meta Platforms is preparing for one of its biggest infrastructure investments so far. The company is in talks with major financial institutions, including JPMorgan Chase and Morgan Stanley, to raise about USD 13 billion for a new data centre in El Paso, Texas. Most of the funding is expected to come through debt, with a smaller portion through equity.
Now, the artificial intelligence race is no longer just about building smarter tools. It is now about building the physical systems that can support them at scale. Meta's approach shows that AI growth is now closely linked to how much infrastructure a company can build and sustain.
