India's semiconductor push needs more than incentives: Building a robust testing ecosystem
India, June 9 -- India's plans for the semiconductor sector have recently progressed from conceptualization to implementation, marked by various initiatives, including the revised Semicon India Program, which allocates $1 billion from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
This program, alongside others, has catalysed substantial investment in semiconductor manufacturing, covering assembly, testing, marking, packaging, and fabrication facilities. These changes, thus, represent major shifts in the global electronics ecosystem.
