Government leaders call for a shift from cybersecurity prevention to resilience
India, Sept. 8 -- Government and industry leaders while deliberating at the Kerala Cyber Suraksha Summit 2026, argued that India cannot prevent every cyberattack. The priority now is to detect threats faster, build resilience into critical infrastructure, and ensure essential services can continue even when systems are compromised
India's cybersecurity challenge is moving beyond prevention. As digital systems become deeply embedded across government, finance, healthcare, taxation, and public services, the more important question is increasingly how promptly critical systems can detect an attack, recover from disruption, and provide uninterrupted delivery of essential services.
