Google reportedly trims HCLTech work by up to USD 50 million
India, Aug. 3 -- Google is expected to reduce part of the technology work awarded to HCLTech by up to USD 50 million annually as it consolidates vendors and reassesses existing application development contracts.
The reduction could affect nearly a quarter of the approximately USD 200 million that HCLTech reportedly earns from Google each year. Google is said to be among the Indian information technology services company's ten largest clients.
HCLTech currently provides application development, engineering services, and information technology infrastructure support to Google. The proposed reduction is expected to primarily affect application development and maintenance work that HCLTech has handled for nearly a decade.
