India, Oct. 28 -- Google DeepMind has introduced Genie 4, a world model that generates interactive environments with sound and dialogue, opening new possibilities for studying how AI systems respond to changing conditions.

Announced on October 27, the model lets users steer a simulation through natural-language instructions while it is running. They can change the weather, move the camera, or introduce people and objects, with the environment responding in real time.

Genie 4 is initially available as a research preview to trusted testers. Google plans to extend access to Google AI Ultra subscribers through Project Genie and early-access partners through the Gemini application programming interface (API) and Google AI Studio.
