India, July 16 -- The debate around artificial intelligence and employment is often reduced to one question: How many jobs will AI replace?

Inside enterprises, however, a more immediate question is taking shape. Can organisations equip employees to work effectively with AI while retaining the judgement, creativity and accountability that machines cannot independently provide?

As AI Appreciation Day is observed on July 16, industry leaders are increasingly arguing that the value of artificial intelligence should not be judged merely by how many processes it can automate.

Its longer-term value will depend on whether it enables people to make better decisions, solve more complex problems and adapt to changing roles.
