Based on Akamai's most recent State of the Internet Security report, the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region represented 52% of all global Layer 7 distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks against financial services in 2025, making it the most frequently targeted area worldwide for the fourth year in a row.
