India, Aug. 24 -- Artificial intelligence company DeepSeek's current API pricing schedule gives developers a larger off-peak window for running flexible workloads. Peak-rate windows apply only from Monday to Friday, while all API usage on Saturdays and Sundays is billed at off-peak rates.

The schedule is relevant for developers using DeepSeek's V4 models for heavy batch processing, data pipelines, agentic workflows and offline model evaluations. Non-time-sensitive jobs can be scheduled for weekends to avoid the higher weekday peak rates.

However, this is not a general 50% API price cut. DeepSeek's off-peak rates remain unchanged; weekend workloads simply avoid weekday peak rates, which are twice as high.
