India, Sept. 9 -- Digital infrastructure is no longer considered an administrative IT overhead; it has become a key supply-chain risk for modern enterprises. In a survey of executives from 1,300 large organisations across 11 countries, Capgemini found that boards are now applying the same risk lens used for energy resilience and physical supply chains to data centres, cloud platforms, AI models and technology vendors.

As more businesses depend on a few hyperscale cloud providers and AI infrastructure vendors, there is a growing risk that disruption at a critical technology supplier could affect operations. The trigger could be a cyberattack, geopolitical restriction, export control or system outage.
