India, June 22 -- According to a new study by Cognizant and Pearson, AI is already performing 37% of entry-level tasks in India, higher than the 33% global average. The findings suggest that enterprises are moving beyond AI experimentation and increasingly embedding AI into day-to-day operations, particularly in roles traditionally filled by early-career employees.

The study, The AI Workforce Pulse: The Adaptability Imperative, is based on a survey of 750 HR leaders across India, the US, and the UK. While the findings reflect employer perceptions rather than direct labour market measurements, they provide an indication of how organisations are preparing for workforce changes driven by AI.
