India, Oct. 17 -- Accenture has limited centrally funded spending on Anthropic's Claude to USD 29 per employee per month for many users, according to 404 Media. Some affected employees had been spending as much as USD 1,000 a month on the tool.

The policy reportedly took effect on October 1. Employees who exceed the allowance must provide a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) code identifying the project or team that will pay for additional usage. The arrangement allows spending beyond USD 29, provided it has a funding source.

According to reporting based on the internal announcement, Claude Enterprise costs are consumption-based. Usage above the centrally funded allowance is allocated to individual projects or teams.
