90% of Indian executives fear job losses over data sovereignty failures
India, Oct. 2 -- A new Everpure study finds that 95% of Indian organisations recognise data sovereignty as a business concern, while 90% of C-suite executives believe a sovereignty failure could cost them their jobs. Another 92% worry about the financial and reputational consequences for their organisations.
Yet 57% of Indian enterprises still do not have a formal data sovereignty strategy.
That disconnect is perhaps the most important finding from Everpure's Global Data Sovereignty Report 2026. The research surveyed 2,100 enterprise leaders across eight countries, including 300 respondents in India.
