New Delhi, Aug. 15 -- Redcliffe Labs and Skyroot Aerospace have partnered to study how diagnostic reagents perform in space, bringing together India's healthcare diagnostics and private space sectors in an initiative that could also inform the development of more resilient diagnostic technologies for challenging environments on Earth.

The collaboration will begin with DRIFT-1, a 90-day experiment that will place Redcliffe Labs' dry diagnostic reagents in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) alongside an identical ground-based control. The two sets will be compared to assess how exposure to the space environment affects the stability and performance of the reagents.
