New Delhi, April 1 -- Oracle Corporation joins the group of companies that has mass layoffs of its employees. The database giant is looking to reduce 30,000 roles globally, with roughly 12,000 people affected in India alone, and another round expected in the coming weeks, according to media reports.
Cutting around 18% of its workforce it announced to its employees through an internal mail at 6 a.m. informing them that their roles had been made eliminated as a part of "broader organisational change" with information on severance packages including notice pay and additional compensation.
