New Delhi, April 1 -- OpenAI has raised $122 billion on March 31, 2026, in new funding to accelerate what it described as the "next phase" of artificial intelligence (AI), with a focus on scaling infrastructure, advancing model capabilities, and expanding global deployment.
The organization said the funding will be used primarily to expand compute infrastructure, which it described as critical to training and deploying increasingly capable AI systems. It also plans to invest in building integrated products that combine multiple capabilities into a unified platform.
