New Delhi, April 15 -- OpenAI has introduced a new framework called Trusted Access for Cyber, aimed at enabling the use of advanced artificial intelligence in cybersecurity while reducing the risk of misuse. The move comes as AI systems are increasingly used for tasks such as identifying software vulnerabilities, analysing threats, and automating parts of security testing.

The company said the framework is designed to support legitimate security work while introducing stronger controls on who can access more powerful capabilities. As AI tools become more capable, they are also becoming more sensitive, since the same tools can be used for both defence and attack.
