New Delhi, Aug. 4 -- Nanotechnology is no longer confined to research laboratories but has become a foundational technology that is transforming healthcare, electronics, energy, agriculture, mobility, aerospace, defence and advanced manufacturing, said D.K. Shivakumar, Chief Minister of Karnataka, at the Bengaluru nanotechnology conference on Tuesday, 04 August 2026.

He was speaking at the 14th edition of Bengaluru INDIA NANO, India's flagship international conference and exhibition on nanotechnology, which was inaugurated on Monday. The three-day event has brought together researchers, industry leaders, startups, investors and policymakers to discuss the next phase of nanotechnology innovation.
