New Delhi, March 22 -- Cofounders of cryptocurrency exchange CoinDCX were arrested following a police complaint alleging fraud linked to crypto investment and franchise opportunities, on Saturday.
The company said the complaint that led to the FIR against Sumit Gupta and Neeraj Khandelwal is connected to an impersonation scam in which fraudsters allegedly posed as the founders and the platform to deceive investors.
In a statement posted on X, CoinDCX said the allegations are based on false claims and described the case as part of a conspiracy involving individuals impersonating the company's leadership.
