Amazon to Invest $48 Billion in India by 2030, Expands AI and Cloud Infrastructure
New Delhi, June 26 -- Amazon has announced plans to invest $48 billion in India between 2026 and 2030, significantly expanding its footprint across artificial intelligence (AI), cloud infrastructure, ecommerce, logistics and digital services. The announcement came after Amazon President and CEO Andy Jassy met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Thursday.
The latest commitment includes an additional $13 billion to expand AI and cloud infrastructure by 2030, taking Amazon's total planned investment in AI and cloud in India to more than $21 billion between 2026 and 2030. With the new announcement, Amazon's cumulative investments in India from 2010 to 2030 will exceed $88 billion.
