New Delhi, March 26 -- India's e-commerce and quick commerce sector is entering a capability-led hiring phase, with companies increasingly prioritising engineering expertise, execution speed and digital infrastructure as they scale operations, according to talent insights released by CIEL HR.

The report titled AI, Platforms and Gig Workers: The New Talent Reality of India's E-Commerce & Quick Commerce Sector said overall hiring demand across the sector has grown by about 35%, rising from 73,320 roles in 2023 to nearly 98,750 roles in 2025.
