Assam Rifles trains Kishtwar women in tailoring
Kishtwar, Sep 6, Sept. 8 -- The Assam Rifles successfully concluded a 14-day stitching and tailoring training programme for 20 women from Keshwan in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir, as part of its community outreach initiatives aimed at promoting self-reliance and sustainable livelihoods. The training programme was conducted from August 24 to September 6, providing participants with practical skills in stitching and tailoring that can help them pursue income-generating activities and become economically more self-reliant.The initiative was designed to equip women with vocational skills that can potentially be utilised for employment, home-based enterprises and small-scale tailoring activities.
