South Africa, Nov. 5 -- Previously, refunds for adjusted or out-of-stock items would be returned to customers' bank accounts or used towards a future online order. The new Wallet makes those funds available instantly, giving shoppers the option to spend them on their next asap! order or at a physical Pick n Pay till point.

Customers can use their available balance in-store by generating a WiCode through the app and presenting it at the till. The feature is optional, with customers able to activate it through their profile settings. Those who prefer to receive refunds directly into their bank accounts can continue to do so.
