India, Aug. 29 -- The Yamaha YZF-R2 has entered the Indian market as a new step above the R15, bringing a larger engine, more electronic aids and a 149kg kerb weight to the 200cc supersport space. Its closest rival is the KTM RC 200, which has been around this category for some time with a 199.5cc engine, trellis frame and a track-focused hardware package. The two motorcycles are close on displacement, but their approach is different.
