India, July 28 -- The E20 Janta Party has turned into one of the biggest talking points among Indian motorists. What began as a social media campaign has now grown into a wider movement, with transport unions joining in, protest marches planned and a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) reportedly reaching the Supreme Court. The campaign is not asking for E20 petrol to be scrapped.

Instead, it wants motorists to have the choice of buying E20 petrol or ethanol-free petrol, while also calling for greater transparency around the government's ethanol blending policy.
