India, April 8 -- Volkswagen has already revealed the design of the new Taigun mid-size SUV and commenced its production at the Chakan facility in Pune.

Volkswagen will launch the new Taigun in India on April 9, 2026. The company has already revealed the design of the mid-size SUV and commenced its production at the Chakan facility in Pune. The new Taigun is expected to command a slight premium over the current model, which is priced between Rs 11.42 lakh and Rs 19.18 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will continue to lock horns with key players in the segment, including the Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq, Honda Elevate, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Tata Sierra, MG Astor, and Renault Duster.
