India, Sept. 15 -- Volkswagen has unveiled the Mission Efficiency, a near-production electric prototype designed to push the limits of energy efficiency in an electric car. The coupe has set three world records, including a drag coefficient of 0.158, and completed a 1,278.36km road test from Wolfsburg to Vienna while consuming 6.89kWh/100km without charging losses. The documented journey started at Volkswagen's German Development Centre in Wolfsburg and passed through Poznan in Poland and Olmutz in the Czech Republic before ending in Vienna, Austria. The prototype covered the route at an average speed of 67.72km/h and reached a top speed of 138km/h.
