India, May 18 -- Volkswagen ID Polo GTI EV features sporty bumpers, Matrix LED headlights, 19-inch alloy wheels and a sharper hot hatch-inspired design.

Volkswagen has revealed the new ID Polo GTI, and this is easily one of the most important GTI models the brand has launched in years. It is the first fully electric Volkswagen to wear the GTI badge, but the numbers still sound promising. The hot hatch comes with 226bhp, a claimed 424km range, 0-100km/h in 6.8 seconds and even gets hardware like adaptive dampers and a locking front differential.

Volkswagen plans to launch the ID Polo GTI in Germany in autumn 2026.
