India, Aug. 10 -- VinFast appears to be expanding its plans for India's electric two-wheeler market, with a design patent filed for the Rasad electric maxi-scooter. The model was unveiled in Vietnam earlier this year as part of VinFast's expanded electric motorcycle and scooter portfolio. Its Indian patent filing does not confirm a launch, but it adds the Rasad to a growing list of VinFast electric two-wheelers that have received design protection in the country.

The development comes after similar filings for the Viper electric scooter and an electric motorcycle believed to be based on the Sulad concept.
