India, March 12 -- TVS has launched a new, more affordable 'V1' variant of the Orbiter electric scooter in India, priced at Rs 49,999 with BaaS, or Rs 84,500 (ex-showroom, including the PM e-Drive subsidy) without it.

The scooter is priced at Rs 49,999 with the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) plan, while the outright purchase price stands at Rs 84,500 (ex-showroom, including the PM e-Drive subsidy). When the Orbiter EV went on sale last year, it was exclusively offered in the V2 trim at Rs 99,900 (ex-showroom). The new V1 model undercuts the top-spec model by about Rs 15,000.
