India, May 15 -- Owning and running a motorcycle, hatchback or SUV in India has become slightly more expensive from 15 May as petrol, diesel and CNG prices have been increased across the country. Petrol prices have gone up by as much as Rs 3.29 per litre, while diesel now costs up to Rs 3.11 more depending on the city. CNG prices in Delhi and Mumbai have also been revised upward by Rs 2 per kg. The hike comes after rising global crude oil prices put heavy pressure on state-run oil companies over the past few months.
