India, June 17 -- The locally-assembled Mini Countryman C is now officially on sale in India at Rs 47.50 lakh (ex-showroom), taking on the BMW X1, Audi Q3, and Mercedes-Benz GLA.

Mini India has officially launched the Countryman C in India today, adding a more accessible option to its SUV lineup. The new model sits below the performance-focused Countryman JCW All4 and is locally-assembled, which helps keep pricing competitive. It goes up against some well-established names in the premium compact SUV space, including the BMW X1, Audi Q3, and Mercedes-Benz GLA. Pre-bookings for the Countryman C were already open ahead of today's launch event.
