India, June 1 -- Mercedes has recalled 99 G 580 electric SUVs in India to fix a potential wheel bolt problem that could compromise vehicle stability, handling, and safety.

Mercedes-Benz has announced a voluntary recall for the G 580 with EQ Technology in India due to a potential issue involving the vehicle's wheel bolts. According to information published on the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), a total of 99 units manufactured between July 12, 2024, and August 18, 2025, are affected by the campaign. The recall concerns the all-electric version of the iconic G-Class SUV, which was launched in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 3.10 crore.
