India, July 10 -- Mercedes-AMG has taken the wraps off the new CLA 45 4MATIC+, bringing the nameplate into the electric era. The new model replaces the turbo-petrol engine with a three-motor electric powertrain producing 680bhp and up to 670km of claimed WLTP range. It is based on the Mercedes-Benz CLA Electric platform and will be sold in Sedan and Shooting Brake body styles.

Along with the new powertrain, AMG has added Drift Mode, simulated engine sound, fast charging and several model-specific exterior and interior updates.
