India, May 19 -- Maruti Suzuki strengthens its manufacturing capacity in India with the start of production at its second Kharkhoda facility in Haryana.

Maruti Suzuki has started production at the second plant of its Kharkhoda facility in Haryana, driving the company's SUV and future mobility plans in India. The new facility will manufacture the Maruti Suzuki Brezza and the Victoris SUV, while also increasing the site's annual production capacity to 5 lakh units. The expansion comes as Maruti Suzuki prepares new hybrid and electric vehicles for the Indian market, including a fuel-efficient Fronx hybrid and the Brezza facelift that has already been spotted testing.
