India, Sept. 16 -- Ferrari has revealed the 296 GT Modificata, a track-only model developed from the 296 GT3 Evo race car. Unlike the racing version, the new car is not bound by FIA or IMSA GT3 regulations, giving Ferrari more freedom to extract performance from its mechanical package. It follows the same idea as the 488 GT Modificata and 499P Modificata that came before it. Production will be extremely limited, with the car reserved for members of Ferrari's Club Competizioni GT track programme. The ownership package includes two years of participation in the customer racing series, covering 12 rounds.
