India, Oct. 2 -- BMW Motorrad has revealed the new F 450 R roadster globally, adding another model to its F 450 family alongside the F 450 GS. The motorcycle uses a 420cc parallel-twin engine producing 47bhp and 43Nm, and tips the scales at 175kg in ready-to-ride form. In India, it will face motorcycles such as the Aprilia Tuono 457, which has now received a Special Edition priced at Rs 3.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The Aprilia uses a larger 457cc twin-cylinder engine with 48bhp and 44Nm, while its latest version brings changes to the riding position, suspension, and seat rather than the powertrain.
