India, Feb. 20 -- Audi will launch the performance-focused SQ8 in India on March 17, 2026. As a mid-range variant in the Q8 lineup, the SUV will slot below the top-spec RS Q8 while offering a substantial upgrade over the standard model. It will be powered by the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine as its range-topping sibling, the RS Q8, albeit in a lower state of tune. In the SQ8, the motor produces 500bhp/770Nm, while in the RS Q8 it is tuned more aggressively to deliver 631bhp/850Nm. The engine comes mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, and power is sent to all four wheels. The SQ8 has a 0 to 100km/h acceleration time of 4.1 seconds, and an electronically limited top speed of 250km/h.
