Trumps vaccine reform faces a management crisis, not a scientific one
Bangladesh, Aug. 21 -- President Donald Trumps effort to reshape Americas childhood vaccine policy was launched with an argument that is difficult to dismiss on its face: the United States should regularly examine its vaccination recommendations, compare them with those of other advanced nations, and make changes when stronger evidence or better practices justify doing so.
The problem is not necessarily the ambition. The problem is execution.
Since late 2025, the administration has issued executive orders, commissioned reviews, restructured advisory bodies, revised vaccine recommendations and initiated litigation.
