The members of the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) are being put behind bars, arrested, or forced into hiding. Recent reports indicate that more than 1,000 people have been arrested, including over 600 civil rights activists, while several senior JAAC leaders remain in detention or away from their homes to evade arrest.
