Romania: Kronospan subsidiaries accused of hiding toxic emissions
Bangladesh, Sept. 13 -- Romanian prosecutors have accused two subsidiaries of global timber giant Kronospan of illegally releasing hazardous pollutants into populated areas and manipulating environmental monitoring data to conceal dangerous emissions.
Romanian prosecutors have brought criminal charges against two subsidiaries of Austrian timber company Kronospan, accusing them of releasing hazardous chemicals above legal limits and deliberately falsifying environmental records to create the appearance of regulatory compliance.
