Bangladesh, Aug. 15 -- Blood is becoming cheaper than water in Pakistan-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (POJK). In just two days, at least 31 people were killed in the latest violent crackdown by the Pakistani armed forces on the protestors in the area, which has been in turmoil for months.

The ongoing crisis started in June when a local organization, the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC), raised the issue of 12 reserved seats for Kashmiri migrants who stay in Punjab, Sindh and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP). The POJK assembly has a total of 45 seats, out of which 12 are reserved for the Kashmiri migrants from the erstwhile Princely State of Jammu and Kashmir.
