India and Russia look to the Arctic as new trade and investment frontier
Bangladesh, Sept. 19 -- As Russia accelerates its strategic and economic push into the Arctic, the region is emerging as a potentially important new arena for cooperation between Moscow and New Delhi. The relationship, traditionally driven by defence, energy and more recently oil trade, could increasingly expand into critical minerals, liquefied natural gas, shipping, infrastructure, shipbuilding and advanced technologies.
Russia's Arctic strategy is developing along two interconnected tracks.
