Gulf states back Türkiyes terror-free initiative as regional stability takes center stage
Bangladesh, Sept. 18 -- Türkiyes “terror-free” initiative has emerged as an important development not only for Ankara but also for the wider Middle East. Launched in 2025 with the aim of ending the decades-long conflict with the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), the initiative has received support from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, which see the process as potentially contributing to greater regional security, political stability and economic integration.
